•1 lb. lean ground beef
•1/2 cup finely diced onion

•1 egg, lightly beaten
•1/2 cup Italian-style bread crumbs
•1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
•1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
•2 tablespoons tomato paste
•1 teaspoon dried oregano
•1 teaspoon dried basil
•1 teaspoon garlic powder
•Salt and pepper, to taste
•1/4 cup ketchup for topping
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
2. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients except for the ketchup.
3. Place the mixture into a greased loaf pan and press down to form a uniform meatloaf.
4. Bake for 45 minutes.
5. Remove meatloaf from oven and top with ketchup.
6. Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
7. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
